Jolanta Wagner - She runs the Painting and Drawing Studio at the Faculty of Visual Education at the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. She graduated from the Faculty of Textiles in 1973 and became a lecturer in 1974. She also lectures abroad.
Her work encompasses drawing, painting, and spatial activities (multi-element installations). For years, she has been creating works in the "General Census" series, in which she uses various techniques to inventory cities, houses, objects, and thoughts. She has received numerous awards, including the Grand Prix at the Biennale-Bosnia (1990), Pilzno (2004, 2006), the International Drawing Competition in Wrocław, and the Mayor's Award for her collection of drawings, "City Plan A" and "City Plan B."
She has presented her work in over 50 solo exhibitions and over 300 group exhibitions in Poland and internationally. She has received over a dozen awards in competitions and exhibitions, including four international awards. Jolanta Wagner's works are exhibited in galleries, museums, and private collections in Poland and abroad, including: The Gallery of Yugoslav Portrait – Bosnia, Städtische Museen, Schwedt, Germany; City Plan S, Liptovské Muzeum, Ružomberok, Czech Republic (miniatures); Kalisz Regional Museum in Kalisz; Museum of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław; and Museum of Art in Łódź.
